Feliz Aniversario? #SpanishFriday

This week I'm participating in Spanish Friday, hosted by my good friend Tracy from Latinaish.  I know it's been awhile since I've blogged in Spanish, but I have a photo I've wanted to share since last year, and being that it's in Spanish I figured it would be perfect for Spanish Friday.  Don't read or speak Spanish?  Don't worry!  Just scroll down a bit for the English Translation.

English Translation:

Next week Hubby and I will be celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary.  I know this might sound bad, but I have no idea what we'll be doing to celebrate such a joyous occasion because we still haven't made any plans.  That's just how Hubby and I roll.  We always leave small details like these until the very last minute.  I'm not even sure if we're going to exchange gifts or not, aside from the bouquet of flowers Hubby gives me year after year, because we already gave each other early anniversary gifts a few weeks ago.

The only thing I am sure about is that the kiddies will make us something special.  The little kiddies, Jack and Ashley, always shower us with cute little drawings, candy, and lots of hugs and kisses.  Our older kiddies (Hope & Nick) also make us a gift, in their unique and special teenage way.  I still can't forget the gift they made us last year.  It was a greeting card, of sorts, made just for their father.

For those of you that don't read Spanish, some of the sweet things my adorable teenagers wrote were:

  • Day of mourning for my dad.
  • Our deepest condolences.
  • We're very sorry.
  • Better luck next time.
Adorable little kids, aren't they? The good thing is that I have a great sense of humor, and I didn't follow through on my threats to ground them for life.

I wonder what they have in store for us this year.

Where it seems an interesting coincidence that the day I write a post about Spanish words is the day I discover you've linked to me.
