It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

I tried to resist.

I really did.

I even tried to wait until after Thanksgiving, because I'm a firm believer in one holiday at a time.

But the holiday spirit was too strong and I couldn't fight it much longer.

Truth be told, I've never been able to wait until the day after Thanksgiving for as long as I've lived in Mexico.   (I blame it on the fact that Thanksgiving isn't a Mexican holiday. )

Thank goodness Revolution Day is celebrated on November 20th, or I might have put up my Christmas decorations the day after Dia de Muertos.

  1. Yay! for Christmas and Christmas decorations!  I couldn't wait either!  And why should we wait?  :)

  3. Being a graduate of post-graduate bachelor (as in, being single -- the academic reference creating its own internal ambiguity) courses, nary a holiday decoration shows up in my abode.  No matter the holiday.  I simply wait for people to invite me into their well-decorated homes.  It saves a lot of effort on my part.  Like eating out of the kettle.

  8. I am a gringa in Mexico and ALWAYS blame it on the fact that Thanksgiving isn't celebrated here! Plus decorating for Christmas makes me feel closer to my family in the states :)
