Bits 'n pieces...

It's been a hectic week around here.  By the time I'm able to get on the computer, I'm too tired to think of anything clever to write. (Not that I've ever written anything clever!)

Speaking of my computer, it's still not working like it should.  My friend Katie, from My Cinderella Story, was kind enough to help me try to figure out what's wrong through a series of emails.  (Katie, I can't thank you enough!)  I passed the information on to our computer guy and he said he can fix it, just as soon as he can fit me into his schedule.  Hopefully it'll be sometime soon.

My sister-in-law and her family are visiting from L.A.  They are staying with my in-laws, but my niece and nephew hang out at my house all day.  But I don't mind.  I love having them around and so do the kiddies.

Today, my in-laws  took Hope and Nick with them to "visit" Santo Toribio.  Then they went sightseeing in Jalostotitlan and San Juan de los Lagos.   I wish we could have gone, but Hubby and I stayed home, because we are in the process of re-upholstering 120 chairs for one of the local high schools.  I swear, I am starting to dream about those chairs.

And have I mentioned that I am loving my Kindle?  I've already read 2 books and am trying to decide what I should read next.  Any suggestions?

  3. I'm a huge Anne Tyler fan. I loved "A Patchwork Planet." I also loved "A Spot of Bother" by Mark Haddon, "Blue Diary" by Alice Hoffman, "Girlfriend 44" by Mark Barrowcliffe, "A Few Corrections" by Brad Leithauser, and "The Dogs of Babel" by Carolyn Parkhurst.

Oh my! I love to read. I could keep going!

  4. Hey I just finished the third of seven books in the Dark Tower series. I do not like most Steven King books but these are excellent. And with seven books you wont need to ask for more suggestions for a while. ;) Of course if you get to the fourth by October you have to keep it a secret because I dont think I will be able to get them till then. ;)
