I'm a Mess and So Is Everything Else...

It was bound to happen sooner or later.  I made it through most of 2009 without a sniffle.

And I managed to escape the cold and flu that ravaged Hubby and the kiddies last month.

But yesterday morning, I awoke with the cold from hell! Achoo!

There is nothing I hate more than that coughing, sneezing, sniffling, achy feeling.  UGH!  Cough, cough!

I get out of bed just long enough to get the kiddies ready for school.  Then I crawl back into bed, pull the blankets over my head and sleep until the kiddies come home.  I only get out of bed when it's time to make lunch.  I'm not able to do much, but it seems that I can cook on auto-pilot.  Achoo!

And I haven't even mentioned the worst part...after a day and a half of trying to fight this cold, I managed to pass it on to my house.  Look at this mess, it's a house!

With Love,

Aaaaaaaah-choo!

  1. I thought that's what kids were for -- cleaning the house. :)

  2. i feel for you. my husband and i just got over colds. his was so bad that he ended up going to the doctor. it had gone into his lungs and he needed an inhaler and antibiotics. if you continue to feel so miserable, go get yourself checked. better sooner than later. hope you start to feel better soon. don't worry about a messy house. the housework can wait.

  3. Hope you feel better soon - the good news is that colds never last long, it will be over before you know it.

  4. Ok... I've been reading some more... and it is soooo interesting! I mean... I know how hard it is for me to be here... but I imagine it wasn't easy for you to move from USA to Mexico either! When was that? I am sure if I read more I will find out but I can't wait to know!

I'll visit your recipe blog soon too!

  6. ALICE: I used to think the same thing! But when the cat is sick, the mice destroy the house. :)

TERESA: I hope you and your husband are feeling better. Whenever I get sick, be it with a cold or flu, I HAVE to take my asthma medicine or else I'm in serious trouble.

LEAH: Thank you! I hoping I'll feel a little better tomorrow.

PALOMA: Moving to Mexico was pretty hard, but after 9 years, I almost feel like a local! I'm posting a story tomorrow that might explain everything a little better.

  10. Hi! I bet you have what we had. Husband is just getting better and I think I well now. We had to take antibiotics (amoxicilina). i second the idea of soup, it is as they say, nutrient dense! take care, don't do too much too soon. The kids will love helping you, just ask.
    regards,
    Theresa
